Today the demo from Grüvoria (yes, with dots above the ‘u’) arrived in the post. Despite Soundcloud and other digital ways of sharing demos, we still receive a fair bit of them in an envelope by snail mail. So today’s package from Toronto included a personal covering letter, with reference to Our catalogue and Our recent release from a Canadian band, therefore full points for addressing us. I like it very much. A mix of Funk induced Jazz that I would listen to. Not quite dancefloor Funk enough to feature it on a Funk 45 by Our Label Records, but I would definitely buy the album. Obviously, I therefore hope Grüvoria finds a suitable label soon so that this music can be released into the global wild.
