Inspired by what you and I would expect but also Depeche Mode, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/jazztofunk.tv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jazzto<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/jazztofunk.tv\">f<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/jazztofunk.tv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">unk<\/a> initiated the Hamburg Funk Allnighter a few years back. My home town is still grateful for this annual Funk Frenzy at the legendary Mojo Club. Harry K. (Apollo 440, Urban Delights), Dropout, Zetzschmo and me were rocking the crowd so hard. Absolutely amazing.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Since when have you been a DJ?<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nSince around 25 years<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>What was your first ever record?<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nThe first album I bought was Fischer-Z &#8211; \u201cGoing deaf for living\u201d. The first 7\u201d as far as I remember was Depeche Mode &#8211; \u201cDreaming of me\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Favourite record of all times and why?<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nPaul Weller &#8211; \u201cPaul Weller (Solo debut)\u201d<br \/>\nI love The Jam and also The Style Council. After the TSC split I thought Mr. Weller will never ever top \u201cAll Mod Cons\u201d and \u201cOur Favorite Shop\u201d. Wrong! His first solo album was the perfect mix of his band projects. It is funky, got the rock in it, takes you on a psychedelic trip and has much more soul than many of the so called soul artists in recent time. For me it\u2019s an absolutely masterpiece.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Record that surprised you most and why?<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nDepeche Mode &#8211; \u201cSongs of faith and devotion\u201d<br \/>\nI\u2019m a DM fan since their first single. They were so influential for the whole electronic music scene. But then&#8230;guitars, real drums, gospel&#8230;and surprise surprise, it worked perfect. I never ever heard a wall of sounds like this again. This record comes straight behind Wellers debut.
