Our Label is picking up the pace in 2012 and starts the new year with a quick follow-up to their last 7“ by Sir Ali Bengali from Switzerland (see below), with the release of „Raw Meat / Song 2“ by Diazpora from Hamburg, Germany. In late 2011 Our Label’s Gu sat down with the band for a studio session and presented them with the main elements of what would become „Raw Meat“, a very deep and almost jazzy midtempo groove that will keep heads nodding and feet moving all over the globe. Stripped down to a three-piece band with bass, drums and guitar, Diazpora (usually an eight-piece) show how they can handle the Funk in it’s most basic form.
For the B-Side Blur’s probably most famous recording „Song 2“ was reinvented as an uptempo Deep Funk tune with tight horns and featuring the vocal talents of Hamburg’s Nora Kinga Becker, who gives the song the soulful edge it deserves.
It is only the second time that Gu wrote and produced a release on Our Label, but again the outcome is a dancefloor sureshot that will be a DJ’s favourite once the needle hits the vinyl, as was with the quickly sold out „Give Me A Minute“ by The New Mastersounds (OUR45-001).

With the new alias of Sir Ali Bengali and a little help of drummer Andreas Schnyder he put together his soon-to-be collector’s and DJ-favourite „ABX“. A tune providing all the Raw Funk you have been waiting for. In a 60’s Funk tradition this exclusive 7“ gives you the Vocal and Instrumental Version on two slices of deep vinyl grooves.

From Russia with the Funk. Our Label Records is proud to present a fine funk production from the East. Founded in 2005 by five Funk enthusiasts, Wake & Bake! is on the way to become a force to be recond with. The latest 45 on Our Label Records combines the very danceable funk tune "PartyStarter", an instrumental track complete with horn section, percussion and tight groove. The b-side is a well put together cover tune of the song "Soul Woman", originally by The Charms and features singer Yana Zolotova.

Japan's finest funk band release their new 45 on Our Label Records. The instrumental uptempo funk version of Stevie Wonder's "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours" will soon be an instant classic with DJs and collectors worldwide. And it will keep the people in the clubs moving. Just as the B-Side "Supershine #9" (originally of the 70s Blaxploitation-Soundtrack "Gordon's War") will have Funk-enthusiasts asking for more.
This tightly produced track is the second 7"-Single by Osaka Monaurail on Our Label Records. "We Got One (A Show)" was released in 2007 and kept funk fans on their toes screaming for more, as did the album "Reality For The People" (Unique Records) in the very same year. Osaka Monaurail will showcase their amazing live act on stage in Europe with 7 show in Germany in November 2008.

The latest release on DJ GU's Our Label Records is a Deep Funk-Monster, produced by Keb Darge and Eddie Roberts. It is the first and probably only recording of The Magnificent Freedom, who were put together in 2005 somewhere in the Leeds, UK area. The instrumental track "F*ck Off And Leave me Alone" has everything the Deep Funk-crowd is looking for: Uptempo drums, sharp horns, rolling basslines and a guitar- and hammond-sound that makes your feet move instantly. Play it and watch everybody get down to the groove!
