For Number 008 ORIGU releases two more bangers from the Loyalty Digital Corp. camp.
Off his album “Underground With Commercial Appeal”, Fokis brings you “Audio Crack” featuring Skyzoo and Chi-Ali, plus the previously unreleased “52 Pick Up”.
Fokis managed to create quite a line-up for his releases on his label, and Skyzoo and Chi-Ali are just big names he put on his album.
Eversince his official debut “Cloud 9” in 2006 Skyzoo is a well-known figure in the hiphop game. Chi-Ali is making his first appearance on vinyl since 1992, when he was a teenager and released the album “The Fabolous Chi-Ali” with the help of The Beatnust, Black Sheep, De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest.
Lower East Side emcee/producer, Fokis releases his long awaited sophomore album Underground With Commercial Appeal. The album which features Guilty Simpson, Skyzoo, Torae, Chi-Ali, Sadat X, Cortez, Punchline and more, is a perfectly crafted fusion of Underground and commercial music. Production duties were handled by Man Meets Machine (Jiv Poss) who also produced “You’re Nobody Till Somebody Kills You” (The Notorious B.I.G.), Relavant Beats, Mr. West, The Manorail, Fokis amongst others.
The album project was pushed back due to him not reaching his goal weight. For the last two years, Fokis has been on a fitness mission doing Crossfit and has dropped over 87 lbs, his goal was to be at 199 by 7/21. “I feel like a brand new artist, I am totally re-inspired to create music and super excited to release this project. This album is very honest and personal to me, it is a reflection of everyday life, the highs, the lows the good the bad and everything else in between. For me it’s not about money and fame but more about inspiring and connecting with the people, at the end what matters most is how you impact peoples lives.” – Fokis
